Plans for the Building

We’re working with renowned architects, Purcell - a firm responsible for projects at the National Portrait Gallery, Canterbury Cathedral and Manchester Museum amongst many others - to produce the building plans for the new Cultural Centre and Museum.

They will breathe new life into the Town Hall and put together plans for a building that celebrates the beautiful natural landscape, distinctive architecture and meets the highest standards of environmental sustainability.

A revised planning application and request for local building consent was submitted in August 2023.
