We’re recruiting for the Director of the new Cultural Centre and Museum

With a new museum and community venue opening in spring 2026, join us now to create a distinctive and welcoming experience, and develop islands-wide heritage programming and arts events for residents and visitors alike.

This recruitment pack gives you more information about the charity (currently known as CCaM), the Town Hall project and the scope of your responsibilities.

Coinciding with creation of a new Museum and events venue in St Mary’s Town Hall, a new charity is being established to operate the centre and lead the islands’ cultural strategy with arts and heritage programming across the archipelago.

This role, as Director of the new charity, combines operational and strategic responsibilities and we are looking to recruit somebody who can rise to both challenges.

Salary: £45k to £55k per annum, depending on experience

Working hours: Full time. The postholder will be expected to work flexible hours according to the needs of the organisation.

Holiday: 35 days. The postholder may be required to work on public holidays.

Pension: Statutory minimum contribution to pension will be made either to an appropriate scheme of your choice or to one selected by the Trustees.

Work Place: St Mary’s, Isles of Scilly

Reporting to: The Board of the Cultural Centre and Museum CIO via the Chair of the Board
